Department of Technology faculty member Pranshoo Solanki and student Bharat Dash were recently presented with the Russell Ackoff Award for best paper at the 30th International Conference on Solid Waste Technology and Management in Philadelphia.

The award was given in March to the paper with the most innovative concept and comprehensive research approach.

The winning paper was titled “Mechanical Properties of Concrete Containing Shredded Scrap Tires and Class C Fly Ash,” and it was presented by Dash, who is a graduate student in the Department of Technology.

Solanki is an assistant professor in the department.
