Darlene Kluka ’72, M.A. ’76, is recognized by several national and global organizations as a scholar and leader in the fields of sport science and women in sports. Professor at the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences at Barry University in Florida, she is a charter member of the USA Volleyball Sports Medicine and Performance Commission and editor of the International Journal of Volleyball Research. Inducted into the American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, she is a past member of the U.S. Olympics Committee. She also served as president of the International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women.
