Illinois State’s Big Red Marching Machine recently traveled to Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago to meet patients and promote a new Fox TV show.

The marching band’s trip to Shriners was part of a promotional campaign for Red Band Society, a new TV show about a group of teenagers living together as patients in a hospital’s pediatric ward.

Members of the Big Red Marching Machine visited Shriners Hospital for Children on September 19. The band, decked out in their uniforms, performed several upbeat songs for hospital patients and staff, including the “ISU Fight Song.” Similar events for Red Band Society have been held in other cities.
