In partnership with Student Counseling Services and National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, Campus Recreation will be hosting Be-You (tiful), an event focusing on health and wellness for any size.

There will be lots of opportunities to learn healthy habits while having fun at the Student Fitness Center on February 23, with a new format fitness class starting at 5 p.m. Join us for 45 minutes of WERQ®, a fun dance and fitness workout with pop, rock and hip-hop music. This class will be led by master trainer Karen Osbourne. We’ll follow this up with 15 minutes of yoga to help cool you down.

You can also get healthy eating information from a registered dietitian from 5–6 p.m., and personal trainers will be available throughout the event to help you set goals for a healthy life. Stay for the whole evening or drop in as your schedule allows.

“The goal of this event is to raise awareness, reduce risk factors, and help students learn to appreciate their bodies,” said Leah Sanders, graduate assistant-fitness. “It’s a great way to get moving, sweat a little, and have fun doing it.”

The first 100 participants will receive a free giveaway, so be sure to get to the Student Fitness Center for this fun-filled event. For more information, call (309) 438-3237.
