The Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference (MBLGTACC) will be hosted at Illinois State University February 13–15. The three-day conference includes workshops on various topics that affect the LGBT community, and is an opportunity for students, allies, and advisors to meet in a safe and supportive environment.

This year’s conference theme is “Narrating a New Normal,” playing off the town’s name, but mostly acknowledging that being part of the LGBT community is becoming a new “normal.” Narration reflects the idea everyone has a story to tell about their own personal experiences. The conference will focus on the intersection between the individual and the movement.

MBLGTACC has already received great support, but requires a number of volunteers at the actual conference. There are some fantastic benefits for serving as a volunteer, including a complimentary volunteer shirt, priority seating for those registered to attend the conference, and access to a hospitality room. For those interested in volunteering, please visit the volunteer page on the MBLGTACC website and complete the online volunteer form.

For more information on conference registration or volunteering, visit MBLGTACC2015.org or check out the MBLGTACC Facebook page. Thank you for your support!
