The Dean of Students Office is hosting its annual Fall Leadership Conference on Saturday, October 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alumni Center. “Ready to Lead” is a one-day conference that offers opportunities to gain new skills, learn new leadership approaches, share ideas, and network with students and professionals. The conference will include presentations from dynamic keynote speakers, guided breakout sessions, and roundtable discussions. The focus of the conference will be on team leadership, group dynamics, and values of an organization.

Daniela Lerma, a past participant, said this conference offers many opportunities and creates a comfortable learning environment for students. She enjoyed the small-group discussion because “it was really great to have such a diverse representation of the student body in the group and we were able to have interesting and respectful conversations.”

Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided. Students needing transportation should be at the west entrance of the Bone Student Center between 8:15 and 8:25 a.m. Leadership conferences are free for all Illinois State students, but registration for the event is required by October 8.
