Janice Bonneville recently joined the Human Resources staff as the director of benefits.

“We are thrilled to have Janice join the leadership team in Human Resources,” said Tammy Carlson, assistant vice president for Human Resources. “Janice has served in a leadership role in Illinois state government for many years. This experience makes her uniquely suited for the work in benefits at Illinois State University.”

Bonneville comes to Illinois State University after serving eight years as the deputy director of the Bureau of Benefits at Central Management Services (CMS) for the State of Illinois. Prior to that, Bonneville served as the deputy general counsel for the Bureau of Benefits at CMS, attorney advisor for the North Central Regional Office for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and attorney advisor for the Federal Correctional Institution in Pekin.

Bonneville is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and Washington University School of Law.

“I am very pleased to have been given the opportunity to join the Illinois State University family,” Bonneville said. “I worked with many of the staff in the Human Resources office in my previous position and always believed them to be personable, capable, and focused on their customers. Since my arrival, my experiences have only reinforced these beliefs. I look forward to continuing this relationship and striving to enhance the Benefits Office experience for our customers here at Illinois State University.”
