Visual, performing, and digital arts will come together during the Charleen R. Crean Memorial Arts Award Showcase at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in Illinois State University’s Center for the Visual Arts, room 110. The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The showcase will feature student performances including an interactive digital music station, a projection mapping installation and a live music-and-video-remixing performance. The Charleen R. Crean Memorial Arts Award encourages bold collaboration between music, the visual arts, arts technology, dance, theatre, and other art forms.

The showcase event is produced by the Arts Technology program in Illinois State’s College of Fine Arts and singer-songwriter Ross Crean, an Illinois State School of Music alumnus. The award is named for Crean’s late mother, who had a deep love for music and the arts.
