You can now watch construction on Illinois State University’s campus with two live webcams now available.

Visitors can view construction online at www.GoRedbirds.com/HancockRenovation. Links to the two webcams are located on the top, right-hand corner of the page.

The Hancock Stadium camera has the ability for users to control the angle, while the Bone Student Center camera is a larger, static live shot. Instructions on how to move the Hancock Stadium camera are located on at the bottom of the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the page.

According to William Walters of the University’s Facilities, Planning and Construction, the structural steel will start to arrive Thursday, Dec. 13, with the setting of the steel to begin next week, weather permitting.

The renovations to Hancock will provide a new front door to the University, climbing seven stories tall in brick and glass. New amenities will include:

  • Bleacher-back seating on the entire new east-side grandstand
  • Wide, spacious concourse
  • Entirely new concession and restroom facilities
  • Premium seating options, including more than 500 chair-back club seats, 5,500 sq. ft. indoor club accessible to club-seat holders and seven suites
  • State-of-the-art press level above the indoor club
  • Brand new ticket office

Renovations are set to finish in the fall of 2013. For additional information, contact Megan Thompson of Athletics Communications at (309) 438-3262.
