With Weisbecker Scholarship Fund (WSF) renewals rolling in, the Illinois State Athletics Department launched its first-ever “100-in-100” membership drive. With an eye on the future, ISU Athletics hopes the WSF will reach new heights this year with this membership drive.

WSF members provide student-athletes with the resources necessary to earn a degree and put on a Redbird uniform. In the last 12 months, Redbird student-athletes have achieved a 3.16 departmentwide GPA, won three conference championships, played in a national championship game, been named Academic All-Americans six times, and volunteered more than 2,000 hours in the Bloomington-Normal community. All of this was made possible because of the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund and its generous members.

The “100-in-100” went live June 4 and currently has produced 40 donors in 40 days. From June 4 to September 12, the goal is to grow the WSF by one new member per day for 100 days, and this will come to a close at kickoff of the first home football game of the year on September 12 against Morgan State.

Gifts of any size are encouraged and will help reach the 100-in-100 goal. Gifts can be made at WeisbeckerFund.com or by calling the WSF office line directly at (309) 438-3803.
